Navigating Medical Interventions & Birth Rights - Q&A with Megan, founder of Birth-Ed

7:00 - 8:30 pm Thursday 12th November

Venue: Pippbrook House, Dorking

After this event you will understand your rights in birth and how to position yourself best to avoid unnecessary medical intervention. Megan Rossiter is the founder of Birth-ed, an antenatal education and hypnobirthing platform. Megan created Birth-ed to bridge the gap between clinical maternity care and holistic, emotional birth preparation. She is a doula, author of the book Birth Power, and host of The Birth-ed Podcast. Megan and I share the same passion for providing non-judgmental, evidence-based education that helps expectant mums and parents navigate the maternity system, advocate for themselves, and feel confident in their birthing choices. That’s why I’ve invited Megan to share her knowledge and insights with the Birth & More community here in Dorking. It will form an invaluable part of your birth preparation.

Understanding your employment rights in pregnancy and during maternity leave: Get clarity and feel confident talking to your employer. Has your manager ever asked you what you're actually entitled to now that you're pregnant and you weren't quite sure how to answer? Have you found yourself turning to Google or ChatGPT late at night, trying to work out if you're allowed time off for pregnancy-related illness? Do you have a nagging feeling that you're not getting everything you're entitled to from your employer? If any of this sounds familiar, this event is for you. Come along for a clear, honest, and practical look at your rights during pregnancy and maternity leave plus your partner's paternity rights too. You'll leave with real clarity and the confidence to have those conversations with your employer, knowing exactly where you stand.
